The COBIT standard (Control Objectives for Information and related technology) is a collection of Best practices created by the ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Cntrol Association) and the ITGI (IT Governance Institute) in 1992. COBIT sets out, with the support of internationally recognised processes, a collection of Best Practices that guarantee security, quality and IT efficiency, increased business value and improved performance. It provides the Executive and General managers with a range of internationally accepted methods, processes, indicators and rules that will help maximise the efficiency of their IT Department. |
